It has been said many times that Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina changes the lives of the children it serves. The following two videos tell the stories of two original residents of the Kiwanis Cottage, who lived there from 1964 to 1966, and are examples of the positive impact made at what was then known as Boys Home. These videos were recorded in the Kiwanis Cottage in July 2025 before the renovations began.
Good Buddies! The membership conversation keeps rolling — and this Tuesday at 7:00 PM, we’re focusing on new club building and how YOU can be part of the volunteer team that makes it happen.
Our New Club Building Chair, Mary Winfree, will be sharing: ✅ Our district goals for new club building ✅ How volunteers can get involved — from boots on the ground to making calls and setting appointments ✅ How teamwork makes growth sustainable (and way less overwhelming)
If you’ve ever thought, “I’d help if I knew where I fit,” this meeting is for you. There’s a role for everyone, no matter your schedule or comfort level.
🚛 10-4, Good Buddies! As we gear up for the New Year, I’m sharing how fun events can bring new faces into our Kiwanis family — and why joy is one of our strongest recruitment tools. 🎉
PLUS… a reminder! 🍹 We’re kicking off our first Carolinas District Virtual Happy Hour of the year with games, sharing, and plenty of good camaraderie. No driving, no hassle — just Kiwanians connecting from across the district. 💻✨ Details in today’s CDNews.
Let’s make 2026 a year filled with service and fun.
