What We Do

Our Vision

Kiwanis will be a positive influence in communities worldwide…so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them, and provide the support they need to thrive.

Our Mission

The Carolinas District of Kiwanis International is committed to improving the lives of children throughout North and South Carolina by ensuring that every community has the opportunity to be served by a strong, resilient, inclusive, and impactful Kiwanis club.

How We Do It

Our Kiwanis Clubs throughout North and South Carolina address the needs of their communities. Our members are men and women who are dedicated to improving the world, primarily by providing services to children and their families.

We sponsor service leadership programs unique to Kiwanis for students of all ages, such as Key Clubs, Builders Clubs, K-Kids Clubs and CKI Clubs. We also sponsor the only service leadership programs designed for adults with disabilities, Aktion Clubs.

We sponsor school-based programs to help students with their academic achievement and character development. Some of those programs are unique to Kiwanis and others were designed with specific community needs in mind, such as reading programs for first graders and providing access to books and dictionaries for students of various ages.

We partner with other service organizations, such as local food banks, and national programs such as Salvation Army and Toys For Tots.
