Presentation Resources

Kiwanis Clubs prepare presentations for many reasons, such as marketing, social media posts, website presentations, and club education. Those presentations can take many forms, such as slide shows, photographs with accompanying text, and videos.
The number of software programs which can assist clubs is nearly endless and is ever-changing, and range in cost from FREE to very expensive depending on the level of sophistication of the users. The following software applications are resources being effectively by many clubs in the Kiwanis family.

Microsoft PowerPoint is a powerful slide show presentation program. It is a standard component of the company’s Microsoft Office 365 suite software, and is bundled together with Word, Excel, and other office productivity tools. The program uses slides to convey information rich in multimedia.

Microsoft Office 365 requires a software license and many Kiwanis members have such licenses. Microsoft Office 365 may be available for FREE for organizations registered with the IRS as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code. While Kiwanis Clubs are typically tax exempt under Section 501(c)(4), many clubs have foundations which do qualify under Section 501(c)(3) and they may apply for a free version of Microsoft Office 365. Canva is a cloud-based graphic design tool used to create on-brand marketing content, sales presentations, training videos and more by companies of all sizes. This solution includes features such as drag-and-drop design and photo editing with access to custom fonts, frames, shapes, grids, and icons. Search its stock library to find what you need, with thousands of pre-licensed photos, videos, illustrations, soundtracks and more. Canva’s pre-built templates include logos, posters, presentations, infographics, social media posts, newsletters, menus, plus thousands more.

Canva is always free for every individual. However, if you want to unlock premium features, individuals can upgrade to Canva Pro to easily create professional designs and content. Canva for Teams is an upgrade which includes all the features of Canva Pro and allows for multiple users to work together and manage collaborative projects. Canva for Nonprofits includes all the features of Canva for Teams and is available for FREE for organizations registered with the IRS as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code.
