It has been said many times that Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina changes the lives of the children it serves. The following two videos tell the stories of two original residents of the Kiwanis Cottage, who lived there from 1964 to 1966, and are examples of the positive impact made at what was then known as Boys Home. These videos were recorded in the Kiwanis Cottage in July 2025 before the renovations began.

Most Kiwanians didn’t end up here by accident. Something inside them recognized the mission and said yes.
And somewhere in your life right now, there’s a person who already lives like a Kiwanian — who already shows up, already serves, already cares. They just don’t have a Kiwanis home yet.
This week’s challenge: make the introduction. You might be the reason they finally answer something they’ve been feeling for a long time. 🌱
